Bicycle tour along the Danube River
I am back--and added Austria to my list of international cycling spots. Our day trip to Durnstein & Wachau are known as two of the most scenic views along the Danube River. Sharon & I set out with a group and took an hour train ride from Vienna to begin our bicycling tour with winery stops! This person I found online explains the trail here. Along the way we had a chance to hike to the top of a ruin and take pictures! We could see the trail we had just biked. It was also nice seeing communities of bikers while we rode. I'd love to do the whole trail one day!

May Roundup & Progress.
First of all, I want to thank EVERYONE who has contributed & supported me thus far in my ride training. The past few weeks have been slow with bigger rides. I've been riding the stationery bike in the gym almost every day here at work. Last Sunday I was able to go on a ride with Dad to Holmdel Park, which is near our home in New Jersey. It's a gorgeous park and I can't wait to go back & explore some of the hiking trails. We were able to do an overview of the park very easily on a bicycle.
Over the weekend I learned that my good friend Daniel purchased a bike & has been going riding in the mornings before work. Hello motivation. I am very proud and motivated by him, because morning riding is not something I have planned to do. It just may be added to my goal list now.
I am heading on vacation this week and Sharon & I already have a Vienna day of biking booked! Hoping to also get in some biking in Prague. Stay tuned for pictures and European bicycling musings soon...

Bicycling Brochures
I was happy to find this TimeOut NY Bicycling guide in my magazine last week! They recommend great Manhattan, Bronx, Queens & Brooklyn ride paths. I can easily cross over every bridge this summer. **The guide is not available online so let me know if you want a photocopy :-) Melissa also brought home the official May Bike Month Guide--(nice graphics & information design I may add)
Bicycling Accoutrements
We missed the 8:31pm train back to NYC Sunday night on Mother's Day so we used the extra hour productively at Target! I found some great items to accessorize my bike.
